Chronology of cameras Ansco
In 1953, the Ansco range largely comprised cameras manufactured in Germany by Agfa.
Each of these Ansco cameras, therefore, has its German counterpart. For the Regent and Super-Regent models, we know they correspond to the Solinette and Super Solinette. As for the Speedex Special, its German equivalent is the Isolette II.
The Speedex Special doesn't have a rangefinder. To have this feature, one needed to purchase the Speedex Special R (where 'R' likely stands for Rangefinder).
